Despite the weather forecast and the actual weather, I had the opportunity to photograph a “Family Divided” in Ann Arbor, Michigan AND a ”She Said YES!” engaged couple in Frankenmuth, Michigan – ALL IN ONE DAY!
My “Family Divided” session took advantage of a quiet morning, smack dab in the middle of the University of Michigan Campus! The dad is a green Sparty graduate and fan of Michigan State University and his two daughters “bleed the Maize and Blue of U of M”……..one having just graduated from U of M and the other just graduating from high school and heading to U of M this coming fall. This family was so much fun to work with and I think I managed to permanently capture the fact that this is definitely a “Family Divided”.
Once this photo session was completed, I met this newly engaged couple (who happens to be my niece) for the 1 hour and 20 minute drive north to Frankenmuth. This is the location where the groom got down on one knee and proposed several weeks earlier. The weather was actually worse during this afternoon session – extremely windy and a crazy mix of sun and clouds. It was quite challenging. However, we made the best of the situation and I think I was able to capture images of this special ocassion quite nicely.
